Dancer at First Night Celebration

Dancer at First Night Celebration

I had never heard of first night until arriving in Worcester, and only managed to attend for the first time last night. The brochure of events made it look promising, and I’m sure it would have been pretty good, but my children were pretty tired from a long week of Christmas activities, so they were not the easy going children that they usually are. We ended for some time in the EcoTarium exhibit in the Art Museum coloring turtles. Could have stayed home to do that, so it started out to be a rather frustrating experience. We all got it out of our system, though, and ended up watching the students from the Performing Arts School of Worcester ballet. The photo above was taken directly overhead on the balcony level of the Worcester Art Museum’s Renaissance Court.

Please let me know your thoughts on First Night.
