Borrowed: Erika Sidor's Dachau

Part of what I find so striking of this photo taken inside the Dachau Concentration Camp is how something beautiful can be found even in the midst of the horror of what these rooms and doorways stand for.

Erika writes:

The museum at Dachau is set up in the main building, and it is a long series of displays that take you from one end of the building to the other. There are some diversional type of rooms, this was one, but again- it was a series of rooms beyond rooms beyond rooms. They were all so stark, and they felt cold and institutional. These rooms only had a small sink in each corner, and the pipes for the sink ran along the walls. Everything about the place was cold. Photos of the atrocities were all over, but these rooms were left empty.
