Book Portrait Sessions

June 9 (At GDA) and June 10 (At Worcester Tech)

Did you already book and forget to write your appointment on your calendar? Check your email spam folder for a confirmation email (search for “MNPhoto Appt”) and then text ME (NOT your dance studio) at 508-414-1656 if you still need help.

Portrait session overview:

  1. Friday appointments, go to GDA. Saturday appointments, go to the lobby of Worcester Tech for your individual session times, dressed and ready for portraits. For makeup, please keep in mind that portrait makeup is different than stage makeup. Less is probably more, and please avoid the use of glittery makeup. Avoid bra straps or undergarments that will show under your costume.
  2. Photos may be viewed and purchased online at the discounted rates for two weeks after they are posted for viewing. After two weeks, the regular pricing rate will go into effect.
  3. A link to the proof gallery for viewing and ordering will be delivered to your mailing address a few days after the session.
  4. If you gave permission to post photos online during the registration process, I will post your purchased photos in a Facebook album. I just ask that you please refrain from removing the logo in the bottom right corner when you repost them elsewhere.

FAQs

Where will the photo sessions be held?
The photo sessions will be held at your dance studio, unless they are being taken at dress rehearsal.
What kind of dance poses should I be prepared for?
We will have a range of poses depending on the type of dance and the age and skill level of the dancer. But we also love to see the specific choreography from your dance, so if you'd like, plan ahead to show us your favorite parts of your dance.
May parents be in the room where photos are taken?
Except for dancers with special needs where new people and settings are especially frightening or anxiety inducing, we ask that parents remain in the waiting room. At no time will anyone be alone in the room without multiple adult supervision.
May my dancer have a few photos taken with a friend or group of friends?
Yes, we try to build in enough wiggle room in the schedule to make this easy. For your convenience, just try to schedule your appointments close together.
What if we have a million and a half outfits?
Please repeat the process to book multiple sessions. We'll have another dancer go in for their pictures while your dancer changes outfits.
How do I view and purchase the photos?
An email will be sent to you when the photos are ready, but there is also a link at the top of the page (older galleries are there now).
How do I get my session fee credited to my order?
Session fees may be credited for one month after the sessions fee. If purchasing in-person, we will apply that credit for you. If ordering online, once you have logged in with your Mike Nyman Photography account, you will be given the option of using your credits during the payment phase of checkout. See the "To Apply Credits" help page for step by step instructions.
What if I already ordered and forgot to apply my credits?
If your order was placed within one month from the session, send me a text (508-414-1656) and I'll issue a refund.
I forgot to write down the time of my sessions. Where can I find that out
Search your email (including your spam folder) for "MNPHOTO APPT ". if you still can't find it, send me a text (508-414-1656).
